6 Key Summer Maintenance Tips for Loaders
1. Cooling System Maintenance:
In summer’s high temperatures, loaders should regularly clean the cooling system and remove scale buildup to ensure smooth coolant flow and accelerate water circulation. Make sure the coolant level is sufficient. Also, inspect and replace the water pump fan belt as needed, ensuring proper tension to prevent cooling inefficiency caused by belt aging.
2. Lubrication System Check:
In high-temperature environments, the quality of grease directly affects machine wear. Use grease with higher viscosity to reduce wear on the transmission system.
3. Tire and Brake System Maintenance:
Tires can easily overheat in summer. Avoid releasing air from tires or cooling them with cold water when they are too hot to prevent blowouts. Frequently check the brake system to ensure brake drums and pads don’t fail due to heat. Regularly drain water from the air tank valves to prevent water entering the air brake valve and causing faults.
4. Air Conditioning System Care:
Regularly clean the condenser to prevent dust and odors from affecting the air conditioning performance.
5. Hydraulic System Inspection:
Overheating in the hydraulic system can impair normal equipment operation. Regularly check oil pressure and fluid levels, and inspect the radiator for blockages to ensure proper hydraulic system function.
6. Safety for Rainy Day Operations:
Summer often brings thunderstorms. Ensure equipment wiring connections are secure and avoid operating machinery during thunderstorms. When working in water, the water depth should not exceed half the tire height.
