Technology Drives High-Quality Development: LGZT Strengthens Its Edge Through Technological Upgrades

The company has fully implemented technological upgrades, achieving automation, eco-friendliness, integrated production, and digital management through initiatives such as machine substitution, equipment modernization, process innovation, and management reform. As a result, LGZT has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a "Little Giant" enterprise under China’s Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative (SRDI) program.
LGZT is the largest manufacturer of compact construction machinery in China, offering over 100 models across three major product series: LG, ZL, and export-oriented lines. These products are widely used in construction, municipal infrastructure, environmental protection, and rural development projects. LGZT's equipment is exported to more than 20 countries and regions, including Russia, Australia, and Vietnam. In 2021, the company held a 23.8% share of the domestic market, ranking first nationwide.
In 2022, to further strengthen its competitive edge nationwide, LGZT invested 160 million yuan in a comprehensive technological upgrade. This initiative included the addition of 16 welding robots and 18 of the most advanced 360-degree automatic welding positioners in China, boosting the welding automation rate to 88%. The company also established three new conveyor lines and introduced 10 intelligent transport vehicles, achieving 65% automation in material handling and seamless interconnectivity across the production process. As a result, workshop staffing was reduced from 105 to 56 workers, significantly enhancing labor productivity.
Equipment upgrades have also accelerated LGZT’s transition toward eco-friendly production. The company became the first in China to apply automotive-grade coating technology to compact construction machinery manufacturing. It introduced the country’s most advanced production lines for electrophoresis coating, shot blasting, and powder spraying. This marked a green transformation from traditional oil-based and water-based paints to powder coating processes, effectively eliminating VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions and significantly reducing environmental impact.
The adoption of China’s most advanced coating technologies has further extended LGZT’s industrial value chain. The company now offers comprehensive in-house production of key machine enclosures, including cabs, engine hoods, fuel tanks, and counterweights. This achievement positions LGZT as the enterprise with the most complete industrial chain and the most robust self-supplied core component system in China’s compact construction machinery sector. As a result, overall machine production costs have been reduced by 10%.
In addition, LGZT has embraced lean production management principles and implemented efficient digital workflows—both online and mobile—achieving zero-error information handling. This has significantly boosted managerial efficiency and increased per capita labor productivity by 40%.
